Latest update on Russia and the Vatican

Dec. 15, 1998

Last September we published an article on Russia and the Vatican. Since that time events have totally vindicated our predictions. Russia is in chaos. The economy is failing, the currency is worthless and a long cold Russian winter looms ahead. For the last 8 years the country has been run by a drunk: Boris Yeltsin. Yeltsin is the U.S. equivalent of Clinton, he has served his master in Rome very well.

Pope and President Yeltsin meet at Vatican.

Since the fall of the Soviet Union, the Jesuits have been able to infiltrate that country. Under the Soviets, the KGB kept a sharp eye on their own citizens but they also watched all the foreigners very carefully. It was impossible for Rome to penetrate the country. Now the situation has changed completely.

Fatima is alive and well. The goal for Rome remains the same: make Russia Roman Catholic. Russia is the only country that refuses to send a Papal Nuncio to the Vatican. That means that they must be destroyed one way or another.

Russia is facing the very same crisis that the U.S. faced in 1929. In 1928, Herbert Hoover overwhelmingly defeated the Roman Catholic candidate for President: New York Governor Alfred E. Smith. It was a resounding NO! from the American people to a Roman Presidency. As revenge, the Vatican pulled the plug on the American economy the very next year. Their bankers and stockbrokers on Wall St., caused the collapse of the entire financial system and the Great Depression ensued. Only WW II brought America out of that debacle.

Last year the Russian Parliament rejected Rome by making the Russian Orthodox Church the State religion. They are now suffering the same fate as the U.S. did during that terrible Depression.

Russia began her expansion as the world's largest nation just after the Reformation. In 1613, the Romanov dynasty began, which lasted until the Russian Revolution of 1917. Like the United States, both countries conquered a vast wilderness ending at the Pacific ocean. The foundation of both countries were the Holy Scriptures. In 1812, Czar Alexander ordered the translation and distribution of the Bible to all the Russian people in their native language. He met tremendous opposition however from the Orthodox hierarchy.

Russia played a decisive role in the Civil War. During the darkest days of the war, the Russian navy sailed into New York and San Francisco and their presence was a warning to European nation like England and France to stay out of the conflict.

Had Russia been allowed to develop peaceably into a Parliamentary democracy at the turn of the century, there is no telling what great blessings she would have bestowed upon the world . . . . The Communist revolution changed all that.

Fascism and Nazism were the greatest enemies of the Gospel ever to ascend out of the bottomless pit. The mighty Soviet Union put an end to their dreams of world conquest . . . but at a terrible cost in Russian lives:

"Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail, Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war" (Job 38: 22-23).

Pray for Russia that they will be converted to the real Christ of the Bible.
