These Nuncios were the de facto rulers; kings and queens were but figureheads to carry out the wishes of the Vatican. Should a ruler prove contumacious there was the Interdict to bring him back in line. Those Papal Thunders had the effect of paralyzing the entire country ry and absolving the ruler's subjects from their allegiance to him. His only recourse was submission -- resistance led to his assassination or overthrow. The most famous example was England at the time of the Reformation. That country's real monarch was Cardinal Wolsey and he ruled with an iron fist.

Hitler and the Nazi party rose to power shortly thereafter and Germany was turned into a militaristic State with all opposition crushed. The same thing happened in the United States. The most gigantic military buildup in the history of the world took place during the Reagan years. His name: General Mark Clark, Chief of the American Army Field Forces!! A man of war appointed to represent another warlord in the Vatican. . . . Thank God the American people arose in righteous indignation at such a violation of the Constitutional Separation of Church and State and the appointment had to be canceled. One of the reasons Rome demands that the Nuncio must be "dean" of the diplomatic corps is that she claims to be the oldest diplomatic service. This too is a lie. Ancient Egypt sent diplomats to all the nations of antiquity when Rome was nothing but a collection of mud huts on the Tiber:
One of the few countries that refuses to recognize the Papacy is Russia. To be Russian or an ally of Russia means to be on the Vatican's death list. That is why we are bullying Iraq. The only crime that Iraq committed is to be a friend of Orthodox Russia. The Vatican-Washington Alliance will end in disaster just like Korea and Vietnam. Since the Reformation all her schemes have ended in shipwreck. God has written her doom clearly in the Bible. Christ's kingdom is not of this world. He does not need Nuncios, ambassadors or armies. His kingdom is spiritual and He conquers His enemies by spiritual weapons. He promises that all who live by the sword shall die by the sword:
